Trails for Trees: a prize voucher you can cut down to size

The grand prize voucher for the Bupa Healthy Cities Challenge. I made it A4, with a cut line on the back, so the winner also ends up with a piece of scrap paper.

The problem

EcoMatters needed a voucher for the grand prize winner of the Bupa Healthy Cities Challenge: a $3,000 e-scooter package from Storm Rides.

The solution

An A4 voucher with a cut line on the reverse side. I chose A4 and added the cut line so the winner gets a piece of scrap paper too, which felt in line with EcoMatters’ ethos.

Context

Trails for Trees was part of the Bupa Healthy Cities Challenge. Every entry helped plant a native tree in West Auckland, and the grand prize winner got an e-scooter package worth up to $3,000, redeemable at Storm Rides.

The challenge was supported by Bupa NZ, the Whau Local Board, the Waitākere Ranges Local Board and EcoMatters, so they all needed to be credited on the voucher.

Voucher on top, everything else underneath

The top section has the WINNER header in the Trails for Trees branding, a space for the winner’s name, the prize value, a unique voucher reference and the expiry date. Underneath is how to redeem it (bring the voucher and photo ID into the Morningside store), contact details, a photo, the sponsor logos and the terms and conditions.

I chose A4 and added a cut line on the reverse side, so once the voucher is cut out, the winner has a piece of scrap paper as well. It felt like the right fit for EcoMatters’ ethos.
